1. When will Lumos Flex start shipping?
Shipping is expected to begin in May, and orders will be fulfilled in the order they are placed.
2. What is the advantage of the dual-laser design (15W Fiber + 15W Diode)?
The Lumos Flex combines two laser sources in one machine:
- 15W Fiber Laser – Ideal for engraving and marking on metals such as stainless steel, brass, aluminum, gold, and silver. It also supports color marking on stainless steel.
- 15W Diode Laser – Suitable for engraving/cutting wood, leather, acrylic, coated metals, slate, and other organic materials.
With both laser types built into one system, users can process a much wider range of materials without purchasing two separate machines.
3. Do I need to change the field lens when switching materials?
There is no need to change the field lens. Users can switch between Fiber and Diode modes directly in the software without changing lenses depending on your specific production needs.
4. Can it do color engraving on stainless steel?
Yes. The Fiber laser supports color marking on stainless steel by precisely controlling frequency, speed, and power settings. Results may vary depending on material quality and surface finish.
5. Is the Lumos Flex beginner-friendly?
Yes. The system supports guided software workflows and preset parameters for common materials. Beginners can start quickly, while advanced users can fine-tune detailed parameters for professional results.

9. What focusing methods does the Lumos Flex offer?
The Lumos Flex provides three focusing options for different user preferences:
- Manual FocusRotate the adjustment knob until the red and blue dots overlap. Once the two dots merge into one, the correct focal distance is achieved.
- Software Auto FocusClick the “Autofocus” button in the software. The laser head will automatically move up and down until the red and blue dots` overlap.
- One-Button Hardware Auto Focus
Press and hold the physical button located on the back of the machine. The machine will automatically adjust focus, and the red and blue dots will overlap once focusing is complete.
These multiple focus options make the machine suitable for both beginners and experienced users.
10. I already own Lumos. Are the accessories compatible with Lumos Flex?
Yes. Existing Lumos accessories are fully compatible with Lumos Flex, including the Rotary, Slide Extension, Magnetic Protective Cone, and AirGuard Cube Fume Extractor.
11. I already own a Lumos. Can I upgrade it to the new 15W Fiber + 15W Diode Dual-Laser capabilities?
