The Lumos Flex combines two laser sources in one machine:
- 15W Fiber Laser – Ideal for engraving and marking on metals such as stainless steel, brass, aluminum, gold, and silver. It also supports color marking on stainless steel.
- 15W Diode Laser – Suitable for engraving/cutting wood, leather, acrylic, coated metals, slate, and other organic materials.
With both laser types built into one system, users can process a much wider range of materials without purchasing two separate machines.
2. Do I need to change the field lens when switching materials?
There is no need to change the field lens. Users can switch between Fiber and Diode modes directly in the software without changing lenses depending on your specific production needs.
3. Can it do color engraving on stainless steel?
Yes. The Fiber laser supports color marking on stainless steel by precisely controlling frequency, speed, and power settings. Results may vary depending on material quality and surface finish.
4. Is the Lumos Flex beginner-friendly?
Yes. The system supports guided software workflows and preset parameters for common materials. Beginners can start quickly, while advanced users can fine-tune detailed parameters for professional results.
5. Does it support rotary engraving?
Yes. The Lumos Flex supports rotary attachments (sold separately or included depending on the bundle), allowing engraving on cylindrical objects such as rings, tumblers, and metal tubes.
6. What software does the Lumos Flex support?
The Lumos Flex supports:
- WeCreat official software (recommended for optimized compatibility)
- LightBurn (depending on version compatibility and configuration)
The official software provides easier setup for switching between Fiber and Diode modes.
7. Does it support mobile devices?
No. The Lumos Flex currently supports computer-based software only.

Mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets are not supported at this time. For the best performance and full functionality, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer.
8. What focusing methods does the Lumos Flex offer?
The Lumos Flex provides three focusing options for different user preferences:
- Manual FocusRotate the adjustment knob until the red and blue dots overlap. Once the two dots merge into one, the correct focal distance is achieved.
- Software Auto FocusClick the “Autofocus” button in the software. The laser head will automatically move up and down until the red and blue dots` overlap.
- One-Button Hardware Auto Focus
Press and hold the physical button located on the back of the machine. The machine will automatically adjust focus, and the red and blue dots will overlap once focusing is complete.
These multiple focus options make the machine suitable for both beginners and experienced users.
9. I already own Lumos. Are the accessories compatible with Lumos Flex?
Yes. Existing Lumos accessories are fully compatible with Lumos Flex, including the Rotary, Slide Extension, Magnetic Protective Cone, and AirGuard Cube Fume Extractor.
10. I already own a Lumos. Can I upgrade it to the new 15W Fiber + 15W Diode Dual-Laser capabilities?
