I think it was a phenomenal idea they had to make the infrared 3 watts. Every other portable laser I have seen has only been two. And to be honest, I see the power difference based on my previous experience with the F1. And I can tell you the Lumos is more powerful and it's faster.

Lumos can engrave: A wide range of thin materials — including metal like stainless steel, aluminum, and plated metal — as well as wood, leather, acrylic, MDF, paper, cardboard, felt, fabric, rubber, glass, ceramic, bamboo, cork, jade, marble, shale, cement, and brick.
4. How do I select between the lasers in Lumos's dual-laser system?
You can choose between the diode laser and the infrared laser directly in the WeCreat MakeIt software. Or simply search for your material in the built-in library — we’ll recommend the most suitable parameters for you.

Set up was easy and initial projects so fast and it really is portable!

I love the new Lumos. I received it 2 days before I left on a camping vacation, took it with and picked up a couple custom engraving jobs right away. Having the IR also expands the materials I can customize.
