Over the last eight years, I've had six different laser cutters. And for the first time, I can confidently recommend what could be your first one, especially if you don't consider yourself a digital maker. This is the WeCreate Vision, and they've done a very good job of removing most of the barriers of getting into laser cutting and engraving.

It effortlessly slices through 18mm cherry wood, 15mm dark opaque acrylic, and 0.1mm stainless steel in a single pass. But if precision engraving is your priority, the 20W module will be your best ally, thanks to its finer laser spot. It can neatly cut 10mm cherry wood, 8mm dark opaque acrylic, and 0.04mm stainless steel in one go.
What materials can the Wecreat Vision handle?
The Wecreat Vision is versatile! Both the 20W and 40W diode laser modules can cut through paper, wood, leather, MDF, felt, and dark opaque acrylic. They can engrave on an even broader range, including bamboo, fabric, dark glass, and various metals. The 2W IR laser module specializes in engraving on metal, plastic, and black acrylic, and can cut black plastic up to 1.5mm thick.

I have had my Vision for a week now and it is the best thing ever. So easy to use and to learn. I would highly recommend.

A laser is a laser but this machine operates at a different level. The software makes everything so much easier and the rotary tool setup is simple. The 40 watt laser cuts wood easily and engraves very nice. The only negative thing I can say is that the fume extractor does not keep up with the unit when cutting wood. Engraving and everything else is fine, but if you are going to do a lot of cutting, set it up to vent outside with an inline vent to pull fume faster. One thing that I added was a carbon filter to reduce the bad smell of burning wood and plastic. You can buy a sheet and cut it to size. Place one cut underneath the middle filter and one on the very top. You can thank me later!
